“…a little story about two unsullied, innocent, idealistic human beings / one of which grows up to be a brutal murderer and the other a cast-off whore / for those whose heart or soul cannot bear or does not wish or is unable to hear this story / the door of the theatre is always open to reality / going out in the middle / is neither a crime nor a punishment…”The story of Raskolnikov and Sonja hovers in the background of this new direction by Smeds. The one-woman production by the Finnish director and Lithuanian actress is to be premiered in Vilnius in November.
